cell membrane- Controls the movement of substances in and out of the cell

cell wall- The cell wall is the shield of the cell. Essentially the rib cage

nucleus- The nucleus contains genetic material, which controls the activities of the cell

chloroplast- Contain chlorophyll, which absorbs light energy for photosynthesis

mitochondria- The energy from the cell is released by respiration

vacuole-  Filled with cell sap to help keep the cell healthy

  1. Hey! Fab start on your Cells and Tissues badge. One correction:

    The description of the cell wall is a little too metaphorical. Can you think of reason plan cells need a wall and animal cells don’t? This might help. An equally useful question might be, why do humans need rib cages and plants don’t?!
