clamp stand The equipment I will use in this practical will be:

A clamp- The reason that I’m using a clamp is to hold the ruler steady so that I can drop it at the same height

Clamp stand- The reason that I will use a clamp stand is that the stand will be able to hold the clamp when it is screwed onto the stand

a metal lab grip- By using this I can have the clamp stand and the clamp screwed onto each other with this simple mechanism

A 1 meter wooden ruler- By using this I can drop the paper helicopter at the same height so the test will be accurate and fair

Stop watch- This will allow me to time how long it will take the helicopter to fall to the ground

And a paper helicopter- Now this is what I will use to test my hypothesis

the reason why I have chosen this equipment for this experiment is because the clamp will hold the ruler  in the same place so I can drop the paper helicopter at the same height so that the experiment will be accurate. The reason that I’m not using a person to hold the paper helicopter is that a person will change the length of the drop when we drop the helicopter so I comes an experiment which is not accurate

I have named my equipment and justified my choice in the equipment but I haven’t actually named my idea. So hear it is.My hypothesis is to change the length of the helicopter blades so it will go through the air with a larger surface area cutting more air so that it is propelled faster.
